Prehistory Park
Both a park and a museum, the Parc de la Préhistoire is the perfect place for young and old to discover and experience Cro-Magnon life while having fun. During the day, through our activities, you'll learn how to hunt, paint on walls, knap flint, light a fire like 14,000 years ago, or excavate like an archaeologist. The Grand Atelier, a 2,500 m² museum space, will introduce you to the art of Prehistory through films, objects, and life-size replicas.

Niaux Cave
The Niaux Cave is one of the most famous Paleolithic caves in Europe and one of the few caves with wall paintings still open to the public.
By lamplight, walking in the footsteps of the Cros-Magnons, you'll experience something much more than a guided tour! You'll have a date with a part of your history: the tour will allow you to admire, like nowhere else, the authentic paintings of our ancestors: guaranteed excitement!

Mas d'Azil Cave
The Mas-d'Azil Cave is a geological curiosity and a prehistoric giant! The vastness of its cavities, the modern lighting, and the prehistoric remains it contains will transport you to a magical world.
Upon arrival, the interpretation center allows you to discover the lives of the first humans who inhabited the cave. Then, the guided tour continues, bringing the archaeologists' excavations back to life through their discoveries. Finally, the tour ends at the Mas-d'Azil Prehistory Museum, displaying a rich collection of prehistoric objects from the cave.

Lombrives Cave
The Lombrives Cave is one of the most visited caves in Ariège. A visit to this cave is a fascinating journey where legend, early history, and history have left their mark.
Your exploration of this incredible world begins with a 1.4 km hike before arriving at the cave entrance. Once you arrive at the cave's porch, your guide will lead you and provide a commentary on your expedition.
